Swim Course
The swim start will be located 200m south of the Evason Hotel. The swim will be a mass start on the beach with the Olympic distance race, individual and teams starting first, followed 5 minutes later by the Sprint Distance race.

The Sprint distance race will involve one lap of 750m and athletes will swim out for 175m before turning and swimming parallel with the shore for 400m before turning left and heading toward shore for 175m. There will then be a short run to the swim exit up a small set of stairs through the shower and then left onto the beach road in front of the hotel and then approx 80m run to the transition area.

The Olympic distance race will follow the same format as the Sprint but once hitting the beach after 750m, athletes must run to a flag and turn left and run back along the beach to the swim start (approx 400m). Athletes will then enter the water for a second time and swim a second lap. Once a second lap has been completed and they have exited the water there will then be a short run to the swim exit up a small set of stairs through the shower and then onto the beach road in front of the hotel and then approx 80m run to the transition area.

Bike Course
Once exiting the transition area, there will be a mount/dismount point for the bike and all cyclists should mount their bikes at this point only and not before. Please be careful as cyclists maybe coming back and dismounting to re-enter the transition area. The ride is flat with 3 small inclines of between 30-100m in length and not steep, the road surface is generally very good with it being mainly on tarmac with some small sections on concrete roads. There are a few sections with some potholes but these will be indicated with marking on the ground so you can prepare for this, the corners will also be swept for loose sand and gravel to help make the course as safe as possible.

At approx 9.1 km the course will split between the Olympic and Sprint races with the Olympic course bearing left and the sprint course going straight on. This section of the course will be well signed and marshaled.

The sprint course will then have a right turn quite quickly and start heading back to the resort.

The Olympic course will then head south for 5 km before we hit the main Sarm Roi Yot road, we then continue south for 5km before we get to the turnaround, at Sarm Roi Yoi Health Centre. You will turn right into the health centre, through the front of the car park and the exit and turn left onto the road again (there will also be an aid station there). Continue on this road for approx 8km before turning right onto a smaller road. After approx 2km you will turn left and you will join the sprint course again and head back to the resort.

The end of the bike will return to the same place as you started and you will need to dismount before entering the transition area.

Run Course
The run course will exit out of the transition area from the north end you will pass next to the finish line and continue on the beach road for about 500m, before turning left for a loop. The loop will take you back onto the beach road after approx 2km where you will turn left and head towards the town of Pak Nam Pran. After approx 3.3 km you will meet the sprint course turnaround.

Sprint course athletes should turnaround here and head back to the finish line following the beach road all the way.

Olympic distance athletes will continue on to Pak Nam Pran where they will do a small loop which will take them onto the main road through town for a short distance before heading into the back streets where you will do another loop that takes you round a Chinese temple. At approx 7.5 km you will turn back onto the beach road and head back along this road to the finish in front of the hotel.

The run is very flat and is mainly on tarmac or concrete roads, there is one small section that is off road at the end of the first loop and approx 100m in length.

Transition Area

The transition area is located at the south end of the Evsaon hotel and will have bike racks either side of the road and a carpet down the middle. The transition area is approx 200 m from the swim start and approx 80 m from the swim exit. The bike will exit and enter from the south side and the run will exit from the north side.

Aid Stations
Swim
There will be an aid station located at the start of the swim where bottled water will be available - this will also be a gear drop area for anyone wanting to leave gear before the race.

Bike
There will be 3 aid stations on the bike, at approx 9km (where the Sprint and Olympic course splits, at 19km (the Olympic course turnaround) and at 29 km where the Sprint and Olympic course meets. They will be stocked with cold bottled water.

Run
There are 8 aid stations on the run approx 1km apart and will be stocked with iced water in paper cups and cold sponges.

Toilets
There will be no official toilets on the course itself, but before the race there are 4 sets of toilets in the hotel grounds that can be used and are indicated on the map of the transition are
