The race will be held Evason Resort in Pranburi on Saturday 20th October. All competitors should be at Evason Resort no later than 06.00am – one hour before the race starts. Check out our newly posted Race Course Photos.
We have been getting some enquiries about jellyfish being in the sea at the time of the race. Currently there are jellyfish of the coast of Pranburi and so we advise not to swim there at the moment. This is due to the rainy season and as Aug and Sept are the wettest months there will be a higher concentration at this time. However as the race is late Oct when most of the rain has ceased we expect the area to be free of jelly fish. Several days prior to the race we will be patrolling the area and just prior to the race starting the race organizers will do a final check and relocate any jelly fish found, so the area for swimming will be as safe as possible.
All competitors must register online or with our race coordinators and prepay race entry fee in advance. Race entries for the inaugural race will be limited to 500 entrants.
Registration will close on Oct 13 - no entries will be accepted on race-day.
Registration should be completed the evening before the race at Evason resort.
There will be three races, the Olympic Distance, and Team Olympic Distance race and also the Sprint Distance. All the races will start and end at the same point but the Olympics Distance will have two loops of the swim course, the bike will have an extended loop added on and also the run will have a loop added on to make the distance accurate.
1. Sprint Distance Triathlon
A short course will be set consisting of a 750m swim, 20 km bike ride and a 5 km run. For individual entries only.
Participants should be 13 years or older
2. Olympic Distance Individual Triathlon
The Olympic distance course will be set at 1500m swim, 40km bike and a 10km run. The start time will be 15 minutes after the sprint distance race has commenced and will follow the same course, but doing two loops instead of one.
Participants should be 15 years or older.
3. Olympic Distance Relay
Teams of two or three persons can enter Olympic Course Relay event. Teams of three persons should complete one stage each, while teams of two can decide which stages each team member should complete.
Participants should be 15 years or older
Relay competitors will race the same course as individual Olympic distance competitors, however times for relay teams will be posted as a separate race and not listed against individual competitors.
Race entry fees are as follows:
- Olympic Distance Triathlon Individual THB 2,200 per participant
- Olympic Distance Triathlon Relay THB 4,500 per team
- Sprint Distance Triathlon Individual THB 1,800 per participant
Race entry includes the following:
- Pre race carbo loading buffet at Evason Resort (resort guests only)
- Registration, race number, timing chip and professional course management.
- Water and drinks on the course.
- Awards dinner – a special gala dinner is being arranged by Evason resorts – this is likely to be a very special event including presentations and live entertainment as well as an excellent buffet dinner and refreshments.

In each category the competitions will be split into men’s and women’s competitions in the following age categories:
- Under 20s
- 20-29 years
- 30-39 years
- 40-49 years
- 50+
All finishers will receive a medal. There will be trophies for the top three finishers in each category (to be announced). |
